Employee Quotes
At NOCA, we seek to truly develop students with solid reasoning skills. We do not hold students back! Instead, we seek to challenge them to do better and encourage them to think deeper than ever before. We also expect their very best intellectually and academically.
I believe that NOCA’s approach to reading is paramount to actually achieving that goal for students. The classical model intrigued me and now I absolutely love it. Thinking logically appears to be a lost art in our society. NOCA truly embraces the desperate need our culture has to teach our children virtue, logic, and how to become a good citizen who helps others instead of just looking out for oneself.
It’s an honor to be part of an organization that seeks to instill excellence in both academics and virtuous behavior.
It is a beautiful thing to see students thrive with a curriculum that pushes them to grow, when other schools have reduced their standards to the point where students are never challenged or stretched.”
I love how supportive everyone is at NOCA from administration, teachers, to instructional aides and support staff. We are all on the same page, which is to train the minds and improve the hearts of young people in a rigorous, content-rich classical curriculum.
Working at NOCA has allowed me to share some of my favorite books with my students. Helping students to see the value and deeper meanings in these wonderful pieces of literature is a dream! I love it when students start making connections between the readings and having those “a-ha!” moments in the classroom.
