Northwest Ohio Classical Academy (NOCA) seeks a full-time Operations Manager. The Operations
Manager will serve as the chief operations officer and will oversee the school’s non-academic
operations, including budget management and financial reporting, regulatory and contractual
compliance, purchasing, facilities management, human resources, and policy and records
management. This position will supervise personnel responsible for the non-academic operations of
the school. The Operations Manager will report directly to the Headmaster.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist the Headmaster, Finance Committee, and the Licensed Fiscal Officer with budget
formation and financial management. - Perform regular budget management responsibilities, including tracking and organizing income
and expenses over a term of time, controlling spending in relation to an approved budget, and
producing required financial reports. - Monitor and maintain school compliance with laws, regulations, and rules applicable to Ohio
community schools. - Oversee all sponsor compliance, review, audit, and submission requirements.
- Maintain student enrollment records, FTE reviews, EMIS, FLICS, and CCIP reporting and
reconciliation. - Oversee management of, and compliance for, various funding sources, including Title and IDEA.
- Serve as the central purchasing agent for the acquisition of equipment, materials, and supplies,
using bidding procedures where required. - Oversee and implement all facility planning and maintenance including bidding, accounting,
reporting, and cost projections. - Develop, implement, and maintain HR processes that control hiring and onboarding of staff,
benefits management, payroll management, employee records maintenance, unemployment
reporting requirements, and staff handbooks. - Ensure that safety standards are maintained in conformance with federal, state, and insurance
regulations and that school-wide preventive safety programs are developed and implemented. - Supervise office, operations, and facilities personnel.
- Attend and participate in Board and committee meetings as requested.
- Other duties as assigned by the Headmaster.
Qualifications:
- Value a rigorous liberal arts education.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree. A degree in business or finance is preferred. A highly qualified
candidate will hold an MBA or CPA, or both. - Possess at least three years of professional experience demonstrating competence in areas of
budgeting, human resources, computer information systems, and organizational procedures. - Proven record of leadership and management of others.
- Demonstrates initiative, resourcefulness, and the ability to problem solve.
- Possess exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Possess competence in information technology, including Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft
Excel, and SharePoint. - Possess excellent organization skills and an ability to coordinate multiple tasks and activities.
- Have a commitment to model moral character in line with the school’s core virtues and the
pursuit of the Good, True, and Beautiful. - Must pass necessary background checks.
