What we look for
NOCA teachers read for pleasure. They take their subject seriously and their students more seriously. They believe a school's job is to form character as much as to fill a transcript. A classical degree is not required; a willingness to learn the tradition is.
Our staff includes a mix of veteran classical educators, lifelong public-school teachers who wanted something different, and new graduates with a strong liberal-arts education. What unites them is a commitment to the mission — to train the minds and improve the hearts of young people through a rigorous, content-rich classical curriculum.
