What Is Classical Education?
Classical education is based on the principles of Western philosophy, with an emphasis on the pursuit of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty. The curriculum is centered around the study of liberal arts (grammar, logic, rhetoric, science, mathematics, fine arts, and music).
For centuries, classical education has raised up conscientious leaders who communicate effectively, make sound decisions, and demonstrate strong moral character.
What Makes Classical Education Different?
Classical education is focused on human flourishing, which includes and extends beyond academic pursuits.
Unlike some of today’s modern educational approaches (centering around standardized tests, technology in every class, and student-driven learning), classical education emphasizes whole person development, in teacher-led classrooms, with real books and supplies, and low technology.
The result? Classical education consistently produces well-rounded, thoughtful, articulate scholars with a lifelong love of learning and the ability and drive to impact the world around them for the better.
